OlivOz Limited (OlivOz) is a public company
based in Epsom, Central Victoria and was established by members
of CVOGA in 2000 to develop a highly competitive research,
processing and marketing entity through rationalisation, scale
economies and efficiencies, and assets pooling in areas of
skills, innovations and resources – human, capital and
intellectual.
In May 2005, OlivOz completed the installation of Alfa Oliver
500 at its processing centre. The Alfa Oliver 500, manufactured
by the world renowned company Alfa Laval, is the state of the
art machine that has the unique option of crushing the fruits with or
without the pips. This design allows a variation and control
mechanism for OlivOz to produce high quality Olive oil with
uniquely different flavours and extended shelf life through
differentiation and thus optimisation of the yield of the
various Olive varieties and the enchantment of the
organoleptical features of the oil.
On June 2 2005, OlivOz officially began its operations when it
was opened by The Hon John Brumby, Member of Parliament,
Minister for Innovation, and Minister for State & Regional
Development of Victoria.
